Why Clarence?
Clarence is the result of a joint venture between Proximus and LuxConnect. A joint venture born of the desire to create a disconnected sovereign cloud, designed to meet the needs of companies wishing to retain control over the integrity of their data and access to it, but also, operationally, to ensure that their operations are carried out on our soil and subject only to European jurisdictions.
The origins of Clarence lie in a shared ambition: to offer users the most advanced Cloud functionalities, while guaranteeing them total control over where their data resides and who has access to it.
Clarence is the combination of two key words for the founding companies: Clarity & Transparency.
Notions that are also reflected in the values of the joint venture. The association of Proximus and LuxConnect is also represented in the colors of the new company. The cloud symbolizes the product marketed by the joint venture. Sovereignty, security, reliability and innovation are Clarence’s watchwords for providing a solution that meets customers’ needs.

The two founding companies bring complementary expertise to this unique collaboration.
Proximus, a support PFS and leader in convergent ICT and telecom services in Luxembourg, has solid experience in delivering managed services to regulated companies in the financial sector, in full compliance with the strictest EU regulations.
LuxConnect, a key player in the datacenter sector, brings its expertise in highly secure hosting (Uptime Institute certified Tier II and Tier IV) and state-of-the-art technology.
